[season1-1] 까이유와 쿠키 만들고 청소하는 생활영어 공부하기

안녕하세요.
까이유로 영어공부 블로그를 포스팅한 지 3일째네요.

까이유 시리즈가 많아서 이것저것 올리다보니 뒤죽박죽 올리는 것 같아서 시즌별 에피소드로 올리려고 해요.
오늘부터 시즌 1의 에피소드 1부터 공부해볼께요.

 

Mom : Caillou, you have to play quietly now. Rosie's gonna take her nap, shh.

Caillou : I want to play.

M : You can still play. Just do it quietly.

Caillou felt that being quiet wasn't as much fun as being noisy.

M : Caillou! I asked you to play quietly.

Caillou : Cookies. I wnat cookies. I'm hungry.

So Caillou went to the kitchen. Caillou decided to make some honey cookies. And so Caillou got to work making a whole bunch of honey cookies. That was skinny ones, flat ones and round ones.

M : Oh, Caillou! What are you doing.

C : I'm making cookies.

M : Look at the mess you made. Do you want to help mommy clean it up?

C : Yes, mommy. Me and you.

M : We have to make sure the kitchen is nice and clean. Now, Where's that dustpan?

C : I found it.

M : That's the way my favorite helper.

Caillou was very proud. He was helping mommy make cookies.

C :  You made a mess.

M : You're right. Mommy makes messes, too.

C : Daddy, try the cookies.

Dad : Who made these good cookies?

C : I did. And mommy helped.

M : What are you making, Caillou?

C : A dig mess.

오늘은 까이유가 쿠키를 만드는 내용이네요.

여러분들은 아이가 주방을 엉망으로 만들어놓으면 웃으면서 치울 수 있으신가요?

저는 그렇게 못하는데, 까이유 엄마는 화내지 않는다니 깜짝 놀랐네요. 저는 만화로 보는 건데도 욱 했거든요ㅋㅋㅋ

영상에서 나오는 표현들 중에 쉬운 표현 몇 가지를 알아볼게요.

• You have to play quietly. 조용히 놀으렴.
• Rosie's gonna take her nap. 로지가 낮잠을 자려고 한단다.
• That was skinny ones, flat ones and round ones. 얄상한 쿠키, 납작한 쿠키, 동그란 쿠키(문맥상 ones는 쿠키를 말하는 거니깐요.)
• Do you want to help mommy clean it up? 엄마가 청소하는 것 좀 도와줄래?
• I found it! 찾았다!
• Who made these good cookies? 이렇게 맛있는 쿠키를 누가 만들었지?

아이가 클수록 영어로 대화하는 게 어려워지는 것 같아요. 한글로 말하는 수준이 늘어나다 보니, 그걸 영어로 따라가기엔 힘들더라고요. 그래도 하루에 한 문장이라도 같이 얘기하다 보면 나중에 학교 가서 배울 땐 훨씬 도움이 될 거라고 생각해요. 다들 힘내세요!
