까이유 영상을 보면서 영어 공부를 하고 있는데, 벌써 19번째 대본이네요.
까이유 시즌1 에피소드가 65개 정도 되는 것 같은데, 그때까지 빠지지 않고 열심히 해볼게요!
오늘은 까이유의 생일파티에 관한 내용이에요.
까이유 엄마는 생일 케익을 만들고, 친구들도 초대해서 생일파티를 했네요.
이때, '소원을 빌어야지', '촛불을 꺼'라는 표현은 어떻게 할까요?
대본과 영상을 보면서 생일 때 쓸 수 있는 표현 한번 확인해보세요.
Mom : I don't suppose you want to help me clean the bowl, do you?
Caillou : Yes, please, Mommy.
M : I thought you might.
Rosie : Birthday cake. I want some. I want some. I want some.
Dad : Come on, Caillou. You really should let Rosie have a little of that frosting.
C : Daddy.
M : I thought you said Caillou should let Rosie have some frosting.
Caillou had told everyone he wanted a special dinosaur as a birthday present.
But Grandma's gift wasn't a dinosaur. It was a sweater.
Grandma : Do you like it, Caillou?
M : Of course, he does. Oh my. They're here already.
C : Yeah! Leo. Clementine.
M : Come on in, you two.
D : Now just hold still a little longer, Caillou. I've almost finished...
C : It feels funny, Daddy.
M & D & G : Happy birthday, Caillou. Happy birthday.
M : Happy birthday.
D : Are you going to blow out the candles, Caillou?
G : Make a wish, Caillou. You're supposed to make a wish.
He knew just what to wish for. He wanted a special dinosaur.
Caillou was so full, he just couldn't eat any more birthday cake.
M : Happy birthday, Caillou.
C : It's my special dinosaur. Thank you.
Just a little while later, everyone found room for some ice cream sundae.
C : Rosie. Look what you did.
G : Here's a clean sweater, dear.
C : It's another special dinosaur.
Caillou certainly had his special dinosaur now. In fact, he had two special dinosaurs.
C : This is my best birthday.
까이유가 얼굴에 분장도 하고, 맛있는 것도 먹으면서 생일파티를 즐겁게 했네요.
원하던 공룡 선물도 받고요.
오늘은 스크립트가 길지 않고 표현이 쉬운 편이라 익히기 좀 더 수월하네요.
그럼 생일영어 표현을 확인해볼까요?
- I don't suppose you want to help me clean the bowl, do you? 그릇닦는 걸 안 좋아할 것 같은데, 좀 도와주겠니?
- I thought you might. 그럴 줄 알았어.
- I want some. 나도 좀 줘.
- You really should let Rosie have a little of that frosting. 로지한테 크림을 조금 나눠줘야지.
- Are you going to blow out the candles? 촛불을 꺼야지?
- Make a wish, Caillou. 소원을 빌으렴, 까이유.
- You're supposed to make a wish. 소원 빌어야지.
- Look what you did. 니가 어떻게 했는지 봐.
- He knew just what to wish for. 그는 무엇을 빌어야 하는지 알고 있었다.
- He wanted a special dinosaur. 그는 특별한 공룡을 원했다.
- This is my best birthday. 오늘은 최고의 생일이에요.
* frost 서리, 성에
* frosting 아이싱. 설탕을 입히는 것(서리가 끼는 것처럼 둘러싸지도록 바르는 것)
* blow out 불어서 끄다.
* suppose ~라고 가정하다, ~라고 추측하다 (있을만한 법한 상황이나 행동을 얘기할 때)
* be suppose to ~ 하기로 되어 있다.
까이유 엄마가 케익을 만들면서 남은 크림을 까이유한테 먹으라고 주는 장면이 재밌네요.
'크림 남은것 먹을래?' 라로 말한 게 아니고 '그릇 닦는 것 좀 도와줄래?'라고 말했거든요.
까이유가 그릇에 묻은 크림을 먹으면서 엄마 설거지를 도와주고 있네요ㅋㅋㅋ
